FAQ

Questions photographers actually ask.

How do you actually match my style?
Three inputs: your reference galleries, your Lightroom catalogs/profiles if you have them, and a structured style intake covering skin-tone handling, black-and-white ratio, crop preferences, and how you treat mixed light. Then we prove it with a free sample edit on 15 of your own RAWs before any money changes hands.
Is this AI editing?
No — and also, honestly, partly. We use modern AI tooling the same way you use presets: as a starting point that buys speed. The difference is every image is then reviewed and finished by a human editor with a decade-plus of retouching experience, and the final consistency pass is always human. You're paying for the finished gallery and the judgment, not software output.
What's the real turnaround?
5 business days standard for Essentials and Signature, 7 for Complete, from the moment your RAWs land. A 72-hour rush option exists for +40%. Your date is written into the agreement — if we ever miss it, the rush fee is on us.
How does the free sample edit work?
Send 15 RAWs from a recent wedding plus a finished gallery for reference. Within 48 hours you get them back, edited in your style. If they're not indistinguishable from your own work, you never have to talk to us again — no card, no commitment, no follow-up sequence guilt-tripping you.
Who owns my images? Will you poach my clients?
You own everything, always. We never share, publish, or train on your photos without written permission, and our agreement includes a mutual non-poaching clause. Fogline is post-production only — we succeed when you book more weddings, not when we shoot them.
What file formats and tools do you work with?
Lightroom Classic catalogs are our native habitat (smart previews are fine — no need to ship full RAWs). We also accept RAW + XMP, Capture One sessions, and plain RAW folders with a reference gallery. Delivery as full-res JPEGs, your export recipe.
What if I shoot 20+ weddings a year?
That's exactly who the Season Pass is for: book five or more weddings and get 15% off, a priority queue slot, and a locked turnaround all season. Most retained clients send us their whole calendar by year two — the style match compounds the more we work together.
